My name is Marie, and this is my place to share photography, glimpses from everyday life, inspirations, as well as shop updates. I dwell a few blocks from gorgeous Lake Michigan, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Because people are always curious, I'll tell you: I'm South Korean, French and German. I have a strong affinity for things Italian, as my mother was adopted by my grandparents, L & C Busalacchi, when she was a wee babe. I'm the one girl show behind Rose & Anchor, my line of vintage-modern jewelry. I'm a violinist, going on 26 years, and I sometimes contribute a little bow and string as a studio musician for my friends and their records. Most recently, I had the honor of recording with Heidi Spencer (Bella Union) on her third studio album.
I'm the biggest homebody you'll ever meet. I love history, olives, books, coffee and Jeff Buckley. I am patiently waiting for my girlhood dreams of living in an old country farmhouse to come true. (Conversely, I am waiting for my dreams of small and cozy flat in the big(ger) city to come true.)
